Ca-ca-ca-catalog!

Hello! I’m back to my blog after a week’s vacation. This is a little late, but I’m jumping on the bus, making this video viral!

The video was created Sarah Wachter, a student at┬áthe University of Washington, Information School. She involved a great group of students and teachers, including Nancy Pearl, to sing a variation of “Poker Face” by Lady Gaga. The lyrics have been altered to reflect common concerns of librarians. The singer does a great job of sounding like Lady Gaga. I think the video is very funny. What clever people! I really like how the students changed the lyrics. They’re great: “Ca-ca-ca-catalog! Don’t forget databases!”

Lady Gaga songs are ridiculously catchy. Her amazing costumes and crazy videos just demand that you pay attention to her. Lots of videos have been made with different people singing or lip-synching her songs. This is a good tribute to pop culture and also lets people see librarians as fun people. Good job!

Video originally seen on Smart Bitches, Trashy Books.
