Slow Week Haiku

Friday HaikuIf you follow my blog, I’m sure you’ve noticed that this is only my third post of the week. I meant to have review on Tuesday and Thursday. However, I haven’t been doing any reading. What an embarrassing confession for a librarian! I hope to have more reviews next week.

Instead of reading books, I have been writing haiku! This week my haiku are about the weather, and some patron interactions. Hope you enjoy.

Sweltering inside
Sweat drips down my face and neck.
Patrons stay at home.

Hail pounds down on homes
Ripping through trees and gardens
Summer storm sweeps by.

Hoping to expand
E-readers for patron use
Called for donation.

Using lists keeps me
On track and focused at work.

What to do when fines
Are in the triple digits?
Pay in installments.

Link’d patrons should ask
For connections to be made
No special treatment.
