Research Skills as a Game

Here is another awesome infographic related to libraries and the work we do. This image was created by the Kentucky Virtual Library. It is aimed at school age children, but is equally appropriate for anyone, regardless of age, required to do research but who is at a loss of where to begin. It presents the research process as a game by which one advances by completing each step necessary to find out information.

But wait, this infographic is even more awesome! This image is actually just a screenshot of the home page of the Kentucky Virtual Library. As a website, it is completely live; by clicking on any part of the picture, the researcher is led deeper into the game with instructions on how to go about finding the information needed.

I am very impressed with how its creators responded to a need and made something that responded to the users, rather than forcing them to conform to the system.
