Haiku on the Road

Arteries of life
Capillaries of friendship
Roads connect us all.

Hoar frost rims the trees –
black ribbon of road ahead;
sun burns through clouds.

Black top reflects lights;
Rain slick roads mirror street lamps.
Where is the damn road?
