Packing Haiku

Dust motes dance in drafts
While cobwebs cling to corners.
Cat laps at squish’d bug.

First, make a big mess
In pursuit of sorting things.
Box up belongings.

Papers spread across
Floors like a sinuous snake.
Am I getting close?

Cats pounce on garbage
Tipping bin to get Q-Tips.
Even still, happy.
