Have you put any of these books down? They may be popular, but not everyone likes them. Sometimes a book may be so over-hyped that my expectations build way up. It’s hard for a book to actually meet expectations then. What about you? What books have you started to read, but couldn’t get into?

I always seem to put down a book if I’m not attached to the characters or if the plot is too slow. I need a plot to really keep going if I want to be interested in what happens next!
I agree! Although I can appreciate a good description in a book, I don’t want the book to focus just on descriptions. I like a mix of action and characterization.
